Privacy

Short version. The tools work without you giving us anything. If you choose to email yourself your results, we store your email address and that summary so we can send it. We only pass your details to a migration agent if you have separately and explicitly asked us to. We never sell your details to advertisers.

Using the site without giving us anything

The pathway finder, points calculator, occupation search and postcode checker all run in your browser. Your answers are not sent to us and not stored on our systems. You can use every tool on this site without entering an email address or creating an account.

If you ask us to email your results

On the results page you can opt in to have your results emailed to you. If you do, we collect:

  • Your email address.
  • A summary of the result: your points score, your nominated occupation and its ANZSCO code, and whether you are onshore or offshore.
  • The date and time you gave consent, and which consents you gave.

We use this to send you your results and, if you agreed, occasional updates about Australian migration. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect for all marketing email from us.

Sharing with migration agents

We only do this if you tick the separate box asking us to. It is not bundled into the email consent and it is never pre-selected. If you do opt in, we may share your email address and the result summary above with registered migration agents (MARN holders) or Australian legal practitioners so they can contact you about your options.

We may be paid a referral fee or a listing fee by those agents. We are telling you this plainly because you deserve to know the commercial relationship before you decide. Being referred to us is not an endorsement of that agent, and you should still verify their MARN on the public register yourself.

If you do not tick that box, we do not share your details with agents at all. You can change your mind at any time by emailing us.

What we never do

  • We never sell your details to advertisers or data brokers.
  • We never share your details with agents unless you specifically asked us to.
  • We never pass on the individual answers you gave in the finder beyond the summary described above.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are used. It does not track you across sites and does not build a profile of you. Where we record that a result was generated, the score is stored as a band (for example “75-84”) rather than an exact figure tied to you.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address and result summary until you ask us to delete it or you unsubscribe and ask for deletion. Unsubscribing stops the email; deletion removes the record.

Accessing or deleting your information

Email info@veloratech.com.au and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Your rights and how to complain

This site is operated from Australia and we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

This site links to the Department of Home Affairs, state nomination programs and assessing authorities. Their privacy practices are their own.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the review date below. We will not apply a new purpose to information already collected without asking you again.
