Sydney is not a designated regional area, so it does not attract the 15-point regional nomination or the regional concessions. NSW nominates for the 190 with a genuine-connection requirement, and Greater Sydney is where most of that happens.

NSW state nomination
NSW runs one of the largest and most competitive nomination programs in the country. It does not take expressions of interest from everyone - it selects from the SkillSelect pool against its own skills lists, and it has historically favoured high scorers with a real, evidenced connection to the state.
Before you engage an agent
- Confirm their MARN on the public register yourself - do not accept a screenshot.
- Get a written agreement separating professional fees from government charges.
- Walk away from anyone who guarantees an outcome. Nobody can.
