Brisbane is one of only three cities excluded from regional status, alongside Sydney and Melbourne. Queensland nominates for the 190 and 491, but the 491 regional benefit does not apply inside Greater Brisbane.

QLD state nomination
Queensland has historically been one of the more approachable programs, nominating across a broad range of professional and trade occupations, and it usually opens earlier in the program year than the southern states.
Before you engage an agent
- Confirm their MARN on the public register yourself - do not accept a screenshot.
- Get a written agreement separating professional fees from government charges.
- Walk away from anyone who guarantees an outcome. Nobody can.
